Buddhism is for happiness of oneself and others

Tuesday, April 2nd, 2019
---- DAILY ENCOURAGEMENT ----
"'I pray that you will embrace the Mystic Law, which guarantees that people 'will enjoy peace and security in their present existence and good circumstances in future existences' [LSOC5, 136]. This is the only glory that you need seek in your present lifetime and is the action that will draw you towards Buddhahood in your next existence. Single-mindedly chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo and urge others to do the same; that will remain as the only memory of your present life in this human world.'
– From 'Questions and Answers about Embracing the Lotus Sutra' (WND –1, 64).

"Those who can help others become happy are truly happy themselves. When we uphold the eternal and indestructible Mystic Law and devote ourselves to spreading it widely, we can enjoy lives of everlasting brilliant achievement.

"Let's keep striving to expand our network of happiness and victory through chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo and teaching others to do the same, drawing forth the supreme Buddha nature in our lives and all those we encounter.

"Together with our fellow Bodhisattvas of the Earth around the world, let's continue each day to create memories of our 'present life in this human world' (WND –1, 64)."
