Youth who lose their courage can no longer be called youth.

🙏1st Dec Daily guidance by Daisaku Ikeda:
Youth who lose their courage can no longer be called youth. Youth are the ultimate champions of courage and peace. To be young in itself is to be a noble champion who possesses boundless treasure and hope. I would like all of you to speak out with such conviction and power that others will be moved and inspired.

Life is a struggle against the limited time we have on earth.

Sensei's guidances:-
IF we do not rise to the challenge now, then when? If we do not strive today, then when? Life is a struggle against the limited time we have on earth. What will have been the purpose of our life if we do not fulfill our mission? If we abandon our dream, no matter how we try to justify ourselves, there will be little left in the end but emptiness and regret. Nichiren Daishonin wrote, "You must not spend your lives in vain and regret it for ten thousand years to come." (WND, p622)

THE pattern of our lives, like that of the sun, may seem monotonous and routine, but there is nothing more profound than our daily endeavours. Achieving brilliant victory in our daily lives is what being victorious in faith is all about.

ORIGINALLY, every person's life is a brilliant shining mirror. Differences arise depending on whether or not one polishes this mirror. A polished mirror is the Buddha's life, whereas a tarnished mirror is that of a common mortal. Chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is what polishes our life. Not only do one undertake this practice ourselves, we also endeavour to teach others about the Mystic Law so that the mirror of their life shines brightly too.

This is what human revolution entails

Sensei's guidance:
"Changing our heart is not a matter of doing something that will only temporarily lift our mood or make us feel better.
A true change in our heart is more PROFOUND, genuine inner change produces ACTUAL CHANGE in our lives.
When we speak of obtaining benefit through our Buddhist practice, we are ultimately referring to our inner transformation at the deepest level.

That is why we need to have a serious attitude in faith. If we allow ourselves to be defeated by negative functions and give in to complaint, our hearts will lose their vibrancy. The difference in our hearts can produce dramatically different results."

Compassion is the very soul of Buddhism.

Daily Encouragement
November 29
Compassion is the very soul of Buddhism. To pray for others, making their problems and anguish our own; to embrace those who are suffering, becoming their greatest ally; to continue giving them our support and encouragement until they become truly happy--it is in such humanistic actions that Nichiren Buddhism lives and breathes.

These are the 3 Karmic Reasons Why We MUST Chant FOR OTHERS:

These are the 3 Karmic Reasons Why We MUST Chant FOR OTHERS:
1.Blessing in Disguise – Good Karma:
As we chant for others, we chant for them to receive Good Fortune & Abundance in their lives, to help them really achieve their Goals. But as we chant & exert ourselves to see victory in other people's lives, we transform our own karma of humanity and in turn we accumulate Good Fortune & Abundance for our lives too! This is the "Blessing in Disguise" that we attain through our sincere efforts to bring happiness into other people's lives!
2.World Peace – Good Karma:
When we chant for others to help them achieve their Goals, dreams & desires, we knowingly help create more happiness in the world – through such happy people who attain their goals. When the entire human race feels happy about achieving their well-intended Goals, that would ultimately lead to World Peace, as no one would then have any jealousy, hatred or a feeling of lack, when compared to others.
3.Our own Human Revolution – Good Karma:
It is not easy to chant for another person when you are yourself going through the challenges & struggles in your own life. At this time, when you vow to chant for someone else, to help them transform their karma and attain their goals, that is what leads to your own "human revolution" as now you are no more concerned with your own challenges. You just want to exert your entire being wholeheartedly by chanting to help another human being achieve their goal. How noble a soul you become by doing this!! Congratulations!

为报恩而努力挑战折伏 shakubuku to repay debt of gratitude

Grapple with our human revolution

Sensei's guidance:
"Earnestly grappling with life's problems, becoming happy ourselves, and guiding others to happiness, too. This is the brilliant path of human revolution and also the heart of our religious revolution.

Supporting and encouraging one another, please take a strong and resolute step forwards to bring that light of happiness to shine in your communities."

Important to learn about world history

🙏28th Nov Daily guidance by Daisaku Ikeda:
A philosopher once said that a person who would conquer the world must first conquer his own personal sorrows. I am fond of this saying. It is important for you to establish a solid understanding of the world and history. Without this, you cannot succeed on the world stage.

Happiness is found within us

Daily Encouragement

Happiness doesn't exist on the far side of distant mountains. It is within you, yourself. Not you, however, sitting in idle passivity. It is to be found in the vibrant dynamism of your own life as you struggle to challenge and overcome one obstacle after another, as you clamber up a perilous ridge in pursuit of that which lies beyond.

Song of human revolution

Song of human revolution

Learnt that this song was composed by Sensei in 1976 under very harsh conditions. Sensei was criticised — for straddling on the fence of communist countries — by people within the organisation, the priesthood and also people from the general public. 🙏

Actual proof of the power of our Buddhist faith and practice is the most persuasive proof. Actual experience has great power

Sensei's guidance:
The Daishonin writes: 'It is thus difficult for ordinary people, who have no knowledge of the distant past of future, to have faith in the Lotus Sutra'.
The Lotus Sutra is difficult to believe and understand, Why? Though it teaches the Buddhist principle of causality that operates over the three existences of past, present and future, ordinary people cannot know their past or future existence, and so, inevitably they find it difficult to believe.

That is why the Daishonin sought to open the eyes of ordinary people shrounded in darkness or ignorance and cause them to awaken faith through 'clearly visible proof', actual proof that is clear to anyone.

Even more valuable than reason and documentary proof is 'actual proof'. Actual proof of the power of our Buddhist faith and practice is the most persuasive proof. Actual experience has great power."

Mentor and disciple

Sensei's guidance:
"The mentor opens the way for the disciples. Genuine disciples widen and extend that path even further. Ensuring the continuation of the movement for kosen-rufu is the true path of mentor and disciple.

'If you share my spirit, then now is the time to warmly encourage the members and lift everyone's spirit. You must all stand up and take the lead as individuals who embody the same commitment I do!

Stand up! All of you, stand up as courageous successors. That is my request. I am counting on you!"

Good friends in faith essentially are sincere, honest people without a trace of deceit who guide others toward the correct path, toward good.

Naturally, the Mystic Law is the foundation of all things. However, without "good friends" who can lead us to the Gohonzon, practically speaking, it would be impossible to attain Buddhahood. Fellow members who sincerely encourage us and the organization for kosen-rufu that enables us to follow the path of correct faith are the good friends we need. All fellow members who sincerely practice faith are good friends to one another. Though there may be differences in members' organizational positions and length of time practicing, we are all equal before the Gohonzon. There is absolutely no discrimination in the world of faith.

Good friends in faith essentially are sincere, honest people without a trace of deceit who guide others toward the correct path, toward good. They are also people who lend their assistance or support to us so that we can practice the True Law with assurance. If you become close to a person who makes you feel "that person is always glowing and animated" or "when I'm with that person I feel strong and secure;' then your faith will naturally deepen and you will develop bountiful wisdom. In carrying out this Buddhist practice, encountering good friends is the key to achieving Buddhahood.
