Even when someone finds themselves in a vulnerable position, if they are surrounded by people who are prepared to share that challenge with them, it becomes possible to find a way forward. The way in which we experience even such conditions as poverty or illness can be profoundly transformed simply by the knowledge that we have the support of others. This is a core tenet of Buddhist

💁🏻♂️It is to impart courage to those who are stuck and unable to find a way forward. 💙🙏❤️And it is to teach, show and awaken others to the fact that they possess within them the power to overcome every problem, and enable them to actually tap that power .
🛎These are also extremely important points in fostering capable people."

"One of the subjects Professor Arnold Toynbee and I discussed was that the way people respond to difficulties in their environment forms the groundwork for the development of their particular civilisation. One of the conclusions Professor Toynbee had reached, based on his monumental understanding of history, was the theory of 'challenge and respond.' He keenly perceived that new civilisations emerge from tenacious societies whose people, when faced with some test by the environment – including nature—responded to the challenge and refused to be defeated by it."

4月13日 如果这么做，别人将会怎么看？将会有怎样的结果？——只考虑这一点，为了讨人喜欢而投机取巧地混下去。这样的生活态度看起来好像很轻松，但太没有意思了。不要度过为环境所左右，不留下任何价值，随着时代的过去而褪色的人生。自己的人生是给自己的最高礼物。一一 池田大作
