Buddhism lies close at hand, in the here and now. It is found in daily life, is innate in human existence and in society. To present Buddhism as belonging to some far-off realm, removed from life and reality is deceptive.

伸一在讲话中说：「我唯一的愿望就是大家健康，生活安定，度过美好的人生。还有，要牢记信心是为此而有，信心即生活。」
信心、学会活动的目的是甚么？——是为了广宣流布、立正安国，但根本目的是为了自己的幸福。唱题的同时，也为实现广宣流布、立正安国而实践，自身生命就会跃动，感到欢喜，能达成人间革命和宿命转换。在自己的家、自己的班、地区和自己的社区使幸福之花绽放的道路就是每天的学会活动。

勤行要如同向着壮丽的「宝塔」，骑着天马、名马、骏马驰骋般，生命的气势如虹。又如喷射机或火箭飞向晴空般，向着「法性的晴空」、「幸福的晴空」，运转着勤行、唱题的引擎，活力充沛地在正确轨道上飞翔。（ 1991年6月25日 ）
